My name is Joachim Yau Wen Kien and welcome to my photo-blog.
This site was initially set up as a place to keep in touch with friends and relatives all around the world. It was also meant to share photos and happy memories with those around me.
However, as time passed, I started developing an interest and passion for photography. So what started out as random photo-taking with a free point-and-shoot camera, slowly evolved to borrowing cameras from friends and relatives, to finally owning my own dSLR. I currently own a Nikon D300 and some lenses. (<===Look left)
But as always, this blog is meant for my wonderful family and friends who have never failed to brighten my days=)
For those of you new here, this blog has undergone quite a few revamps the past few years, and I actually did write the HTML of this blog myself, so do excuse the bugs here and there if you do come across them.

To the left...
Right on top is a little slouching stickman under "Who I am..." Clicking on this logo will always bring you back to my main homepage no matter where you are.
Next, you'll see some links. They are links to some of my online photo accounts. Some are used for photo storage, while others are used for online hosting. Clicking on them will navigate you to another site away from my photoblog. For now, most of my recent photos are stored in my flickr account. Photobucket is mostly meant for online hosting of designs.
Further down is a link called "Gallery". This will bring you to a page (that is still within my blog) where you can search for specific sets of photos that would have, otherwise, been lost in the archives.
Next is a link called "Some Thoughts". This is a collection of some of my reflections/thoughts over the years.
Then we have a roll of links to some blogs/sites of friends who I drop by once in awhile (or many times for that matter..=P).
Following that are some random thumbnail shots of photos from my flickr account. Clicking on the thumbnails will bring you directly to my flickr account.
And finally, my archives--which contains everything in chronological order=)
